Terms to Know When Buying a Boat

Terms to Know When Buying a Boat

This dinghy was made by the incredible people at Chesapeake Boat Builders. It was created by a kit the company offers. You can visit their site and venture into the world of custom boat building yourself, or just buy something fit for your angling needs.

Knowing the difference in lingo when purchasing a new or used boat can be the difference between getting really wet or having a smooth ride and a great day on the water! Saving you time, money & maybe even a heart ache as you too will know the boaters terminology of vessel lingo!

NEED YOUR HELP IN PROTECTING FLORIDA'S Waterways!

At the request of a number of people, including County Commissioner Ray Judah, Sanibel Vice Mayor Mick Denham, The San Cap Chamber of Commerce an many others to personally stay involved I have agreed to keep the PURRE name and mission alive.  In order to cut spending we have now affectingly shut down the PURRE office and all associated expenses related to the operation.  I will, as in the early days of PURRE, operate out of my construction office for the purpose of getting important information out when needed.
I would like to personally thank all of you for your support in the past while we moved forward in raising public awareness on the water pollution problems.
With that said please take the time to help on this extremely important fertilizer issue:

WE NEED YOUR HELP CONTACTING COASTAL LEGISLATORS TO PROTECT FLORIDA'S WATERWAYS
Senate Bill 604 - Limited Certification for Urban
Landscape Commercial Fertilizer Application,
 Monday, January 30, 2012.

SB604 scheduled to be heard Monday, January 30, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Senate Environmental Preservation and Conservation Committee. SB604 allows a 'ban on ban' and eliminates the prohibition of certain fertilizer applications during the rainy months for lawn care workers.

Five of the seven committee members represent coastal communities. Help us to STOP SB604 and protect Florida's waterways! Please contact these five committee members and make your voice heard. When sending your email, please include "Vote NO on Senate Bill 604."

Senator Charles S. Dean, Sr. District 3:     dean.charles.web@flsenate.gov
Senator Nancy C. Detert, District 23:        detert.nancy.web@flsenate.gov

Senator Jack Latvala, District 16:               latvala.jacl.web@flsenate.gov
Senator Eleanor Sobel, District 31:            sobel.eleanor.web@flsenate.gov

Let committee members know we need their help to
protect Florida's waterways!
Water is life and too life grows from fertilizers as in more than crops; can you say 'Red Tide'? We do not need a greener lawn at the expense of no more water to drink because the nutriments needed for plant growth, stunt or kill human growth. I would rather have a Pure clean glass of Lemonade made from clean water rather than a green lawn and can only swim in the water? Call your Representative today and you too can make a difference. I, Gary A. Anderson, salute the efforts of PURRE in its years of mentoring others on water related issues and wish each and everyone of you who read this CALL TO ARMS, contact the above Representatives, regardless where you live because water flows everywhere, has no boundaries and is life to all!

Oil Pollution Hell! How about Chemical Injections?

Oil Pollution Hell! How about Chemical Injections making up almost half of total on-site disposal of deadly chemicals, to which make an oil spill look like pancake syrup compared to the poisons ALLOWED by the EPA to be injected underground into on-site wells in 2010 and the extremist environmentalist scream about drilling for oil or the Keystone Pipeline? Allow us to kill the earth but not to refuel the economy; something very wrong here and people wonder why people such as I want the EPA an Endangered Animal!

Florida to Texas and into the ground below the Gulf of Mexico, underground injection is used for the disposal of toxic chemicals, including nitrate compounds, ammonia and acetonitrile, primarily by the chemical manufacturing industry. Underground injection increased by 34% from 2009 to 2010 and by 15% from 2001 to 2010. So what do all of you tofu eaters think about that? Sweeping the dirt under the rug does not make it go away; it just hides it until we have a “DEAD ZONE” and then we blame it on an oil spill; conveniently is it not?Ammonia alone, injected into the ground, entering an aquifer and finding its way back into the Gulf has the potential to cause "stress and damages gills and other tissues, even in small amounts. Fish exposed to low levels of ammonia over time are more susceptible to bacterial infections, have poor growth, and will not tolerate routine handling as well as they otherwise would. Ammonia is a killer when present in higher concentrations, and many unexplained production losses have likely been caused by ammonia;" a DEAD ZONE.

So now we quit our exploration ideas or my ideas of a refinery or two in putting America back to work, because of a bunch of environmentalist and there regulations but allow millions of pounds of deadly chemicals to be swept under our rug without even a whimper. Grow a pair and put the round peg in the round hole and to that we may all win!

Senator Marco Rubio is in violation of H.R. 3261 S.O.P.A. and removed

Today, about an 3 hours ago, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida showed what it takes to be a real leader! It takes a real person with grit to stand up and switch his vote after reviewing just what this bill could do to 'The People'. He has my admiration and support in this decision as  He is dropping his co-sponsorship of  SOPA/Protect IP. Now if others too in Congress were to show some sand, this bill could go back to where it came from; the trash can. We have enough rules to regulations in this country and that is our problem to job creation; too many rules to letting someone just work. It seems we need a permit for a permit to get the permit? This HR 3261 would just cause a killing of the net as we know it and bring about a pirate network, much akin to Patriots printing in the days of our Colonial War...

As is stated on FaceBook: Senator Marco Rubio
A Better Way to Fight the Online Theft of American Ideas and Jobs
By Senator Marco Rubio

In recent weeks, we’ve heard from many Floridians about the anti-Internet piracy bills making their way through Congress. On the Senate side, I have been a co-sponsor of the PROTECT IP Act because I believe it’s important to protect American ingenuity, ideas and jobs from being stolen through Internet piracy, much of it occurring overseas through rogue websites in China. As a senator from Florida, a state with a large presence of artists, creators and businesses connected to the creation of intellectual property, I have a strong interest in stopping online piracy that costs Florida jobs.

However, we must do this while simultaneously promoting an open, dynamic Internet environment that is ripe for innovation and promotes new technologies.

Earlier this year, this bill passed the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously and without controversy. Since then, we've heard legitimate concerns about the impact the bill could have on access to the Internet and about a potentially unreasonable expansion of the federal government's power to impact the Internet. Congress should listen and avoid rushing through a bill that could have many unintended consequences.

Therefore, I have decided to withdraw my support for the Protect IP Act. Furthermore, I encourage Senator Reid to abandon his plan to rush the bill to the floor. Instead, we should take more time to address the concerns raised by all sides, and come up with new legislation that addresses Internet piracy while protecting free and open access to the Internet.
THANK YOU SENATOR RUBIO;
We Think, We Vote, We Remember!

The Haitian Earthquake Gold Rush

God in dem dar Hills; Its a Bonanza, Haiti After the Shake!

"It turns out that almost none of the money that the general public thought was going to Haiti actually went directly to Haiti. The international community chose to bypass the Haitian people, Haitian non-governmental organizations and the government of Haiti. Funds were instead diverted to other governments, international NGOs, and private companies."...HaitiAfter the Quake by by BILL QUIGLEY and AMBER RAMANAUSKAS

Where is the Beef??? A Major Diversion of $$$ to NGO's, imagine that; our donations NEVER GOT THERE! Where is the money? There is NO MONEY at least if your Haitian! Chapman Rules apply, your out of luck in as if your not part of the group, you do not get in. 33 pennies goes to institutions back in our US of A. 42 cents went to the UN Food Fund, UN Health Organization and selected NGO's; that is 75 cents out of every dollar never reaching those in need but deposited instead into banks of those who need. Apparently the UN and its NGO leeches are in need of blood; Haitian blood in the form of dollars with no donuts going to those who are hungry in Haiti!
I am bewildered that:
the president, Obama, granted de facto amnesty to 215,000 people from El Salvador. That was a low blow to constitutional freedom. President Obama must go to Congress for this; who does he think he is, a dictator. What of the Haitian people? We drain their incoming resources and leave them hanging out to dry but in desperation to guilt, because of "Earth Quakes" we cannot send these from El Salvador home? There is a fly in the ointment and somebody needs to clean up this madness! Our government is involved and needs to be accountable. As an American, can we settle for less? No is the answer, we must make those responsible to pay it forward, now. The World Bank hols 9.9 Billion for relief in Haiti. Why are not the Haitian's holding it; it is their monies, is it not? If Obama wants a clear conscience send out those who have not applied for citizenship and step up to the plate for our brothers, mankind, to the south, just off our shores and make the Haitian Gold rush a reality to the Haitian peoples. That would be a real reason to be proud and who knows; you might just get a real award for it.

My name is Chris McCaffity. I am a commercial fisherman who has been offering simple solutions that would mitigate many of the severe negative impacts associated with fishery laws that do not follow most of the mandates in the Magnuson-Stevens Act (MSA). The MSA is a law dictating how America’s fisheries are to be managed and contains requirements like limiting waste, making efficient use of our resources, and promoting fishermen safety at sea. Most of the fishery laws that have been rushed through since the re-authorization of the MSA have not followed those three requirements. This has caused tons of perfectly edible seafood to be discarded and wasted while financially devastating fishermen. The financial devastation has caused fishermen to risk life and limb in foul weather trying to make one more trip before a fishery is closed early due to mismanagement of the quotas. This has caused at least one man I know to lose his life. Alan Nelson was out trying to support his 19 month old baby. His death was the event that forced me to do something. I did not want to come home one trip without my deckhand and have to inform his wife and three kids that I lost their father and husband at sea. I am responsible for the safety of my crew regardless of the laws we must follow. It also broke my heart to be forced to throw back so much of our catch even though most of the Regulatory Discards were obviously going to die. The fishery managers seem to feel absolved of any personal responsibility for their actions because they are just doing what they are paid to do.

Please keep an open heart and mind as you consider this comprehensive fishery management plan that I offer as an alternative to HB-353, catch shares, and derby fisheries. This plan could show other nations by example how they can limit waste while feeding more people and allowing stocks to achieve Optimum Yield. It is really not that hard if we simply use sound science, common sense, and remember the Golden rule. We should be focusing on enhancing our resources rather than just restricting access to them. Earth’s oceans and waterways have the potential to always feed many more people than they do now if we properly manage them.

I would like to point out that the vast majority of people involved in fishery management are good people. Most of them have good intentions and just want to earn a paycheck. There are a few public servants in the leadership with other motives. They seem to maliciously mismanage our fisheries in an attempt to advance other agendas like catch shares and area closures. If their actions are not malicious, the only other option is gross incompetence. One example of this is that they refuse to properly manage the lower quotas with possession limits that are adjusted throughout the year to levels that would fill the quotas without any long closures. This creates dangerous derby fisheries like the one that cost Mr. Nelson his life. The fishery manager’s only answer to end this is a catch share scheme that destroys many of the small businesses in every fishery they “help”. Catch shares are not so much a management tool as they are an allocation tool. Big corporations will in time own our fisheries and control your access to local seafood.

Some environmental “charities” have been aggressively advancing Agenda 21 mandates in fishery policy while most of the rest passively support these efforts. Fleet consolidation through catch shares and massive area closures using the Precautionary Principal seem to be the two biggest threats at this time. Some environmentalists even want to ban fishing. I have learned these things the hard way as I initially reached out to the “charities” that showed up at fishery meetings. I did not think they would want countless dead and dying fish to be discarded and wasted. I thought they would have a little compassion for their fellow man and support actions to promote our safety at sea. My blissful ignorance was shattered as one “charity” after another told me things like fishermen are liars and deserve what we are getting. They did not even care about the fish. The Regulatory Discards and compromised safety helped them advance Agenda 21. I have challenged several environmental “charities” to a televised public debate about how we should be managing our fisheries. They have all refused! They should be willing to defend what they are paid to believe. I will state my case and defend it!

There are three key things we need to do to properly manage almost any fishery. Permit holders in individual fisheries should come up with specific management plans for their fishery that follows all of MSA mandates. Fishermen should have final approval of any plan with a 2/3 majority vote of permit holders in the affected fishery.

1. Establish a Total Allowable Catch (TAC) for each targeted species and a by-catch allowance for non-target species.
2. Remove all size limits. They have proven to be a government mandated waste of our resources. The fishery managers currently allocate up to 100% of a TAC to Regulatory Discards that are mostly associated with size limits. An average of 30% of a TAC is allocated to dead discards of undersized fish. This adds up to millions of pounds of perfectly edible seafood that is discarded and wasted in the name of conservation.
3. The final part of this simple management plan is to properly manage the quotas with split seasons and possession limits that are adjusted to levels that fill the quotas without any long closure. Here is an example for the approximate Vermilion Snapper TAC. The Vermilion Snapper TAC is about 1,000,000 pounds. The tragic waste associated with size limits requires about 300,000 pounds be allocated to dead Regulatory Discards. This leaves an Annual Catch Limit (ACL) of 700,000. The ACL should be split into two seasonal quotas that begin with the best times of year to catch them. The first 350,000 pound seasonal quota should begin in March with a Trip Poundage Limit (TPL) of 1,000 pounds for each vessel. The TPL should be adjusted to a level that fills the quota without a long closure after approximately 75% of the seasonal quota has been filled. This is a breakdown of how the adjustments should go.
a. Keep the TPL at 1,000 pounds if there is only one month left in the season.
b. Adjust the TPL to 500 pounds if there are two months left in the season.
c. Adjust the TPL to 300 pounds if there are three months left in the season.
d. Adjust the TPL to 200 pounds if there are four months left in the season.
e. Adjust the TPL to 100 pounds if there are five months left in the season.

The next season would start in September with a 1,000 pound TPL. Any overages from the last quota could be deducted and any unused quota should be added to the next seasonal quota. Every species should be managed this way. We could target the species with high TPLs while still keeping those with lower TPLs. This would achieve any honorable goals of catch shares.

Removing size limits and properly managing the quotas would eliminate most of the waste in our fisheries. We could avoid even more waste with this additional action. Set aside ten percent of each TAC that should be greatly increased with the removal of size limits for the poor. This would create a cushion for both the fish and fishermen. Recreational fishermen could donate any fish they did not want to eat to the quota for the less fortunate. Commercial fishermen could bring in our entire catch and sell our possession limits. Any overages could be donated to the quota for the poor rather than discarding the seafood or facing heavy fines, seizure of our property, and even imprisonment. This would allow us to make wise use of everything that is being killed while collecting accurate date to use in credible stock assessments and for properly managing quotas. This would provide consumers with a dependable supply of safe American seafood throughout the entire year. It would also allow fishermen to work all year. It would follow the MSA mandates to limit waste, make efficient use of our resources, and promote our safety at sea. We should not be torturing fish to death and wasting them to “help” them. We should kill what we catch quickly and use it wisely. Everything landed should be counted against the possession limits and the quotas.

There are three key things needed to enhance a stock of fish in the water or wildlife on land.
1. Increase the amount of food available.
2. Increase the amount of shelter available.
3. Predatory stress invokes a reproductive response. Keeping the fisheries open all year creates consistent predatory stress that causes fish to produce more offspring. Removing the size limits also allows more of the large breeders to continue replenishing the stock. Removing nothing but the large fish causes the gene pool to be polluted by runts and smaller fish. We are left with a glut of small, weak, slow-growing fish. This negatively impacts the overall health of the stock and the average size of the fish in it.

The amount of food and shelter could be increased with an aggressive Artificial Reef (AR) program. ARs are the perfect union of aquaculture and commercially or recreationally harvested wild fish. The ARs can be very cheap and effective. We can feed many more people than we do now if we enhance our resources rather than always restricting our access to them.

Inshore fisheries could be helped with portable aerators that could be moved to areas with low oxygen levels that cause millions of fish to suffocate every year. The aerators could also help to break down pollutants and keep Speckled Trout from freezing to death during cold-stun events.

One of the unintended consequences of the mismanagement of our fisheries is that we are losing many of the places on the water to unload our seafood. I would like to see some of the grant money for working waterfronts and funds from the Saltonstall-Kennedy tax on imported seafood be used to create Community Seafood Unloading and Processing Facilities (CSUPF). These waterfront facilities should be accessible to existing dealers and seafood markets. They could double as museums to preserve the fishing heritage of the area where they are built. Tourist and locals could visit the museums and also watch as local seafood is unloaded, inspected, and labeled as Wild Caught Seafood from the state the facility is located in. The CSUPFs would also be a great place for scientists and students to collect tissue samples and take measurements of many different kinds of seafood. Markets could be cultivated for underutilized species like the skates and rays that are eating most of the Bay Scallops in North Carolina before fishermen have a chance to harvest them for consumers. Marine patrol officers could watch as catches are unloaded. They could collect any seafood that exceeded possession limits for the quota set aside for the poor. The cleaned seafood could be shipped to soup kitchens and food pantries. This would feed many hungry people across America every day.

These common sense solutions are based on a deep love of the sea as well as input from fellow fishermen, fishery managers, environmentalists, and concerned citizens. I tried to come up with ideas that are easy to implement and enforce while benefiting all user groups and our marine resources. We could actually increase the amount of seafood available for recreational and commercial harvest while feeding many more people and allowing stocks to rebuild from decades of mismanagement. We could do this without causing hard-working American fishermen to be forced out of their chosen profession or compromising our safety at sea. We could also stop wasting tons of perfectly good seafood. We simply need to use sound science, the slightest bit of common sense, and remember the Golden Rule.

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly challenge PEW, ED, CCA, and any other charity involved in fishery issues to an online typed debate that anyone interested can view. I also extend this debate challenge to Roy Crabtree, Gregg Waugh, David Cupka, Tom Burgess, or any member of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, National Marine Fisheries Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Please contact me if you will accept my debate challenge or want to observe it. freefish7@hotmail.com

I will be happy answer any questions about things like removing size limits or how Artificial Reefs can be the perfect union of aquaculture and commercially harvested wild fish. I want to have an honest discussion about how we can always have a responsible harvest of healthy fisheries with very little or no waste.

I Gary A. Anderson, support many to much of what Chris McCaffity has purposed and I believe he has presented a good case. If you are of more interest on this subject and other items about our national fisheries issues, please go to his website as it offers so much more and you too may understand to how many of us anglers feel. It's not just about fishing but a global problem to which we Americans are suffering too. Please READ MORE......

Depopulation Agenda 21 Simplified - Must Watch -

450+pages condensed, Agenda 21; What You Should Know 9.5 minutes that will change your life!
Others have paved the way to bring it in, while President Obama and a number of his crony Democratic Tories, allowed it to become LAW back in 2011 when Obama by-passed your Congress, the Senate to be exact, and signed this Convention. A Convention is a term used by the United Nations meaning "TREATY!" It takes a 2/3rds of the Senate to ratify a treaty but Obama decided to not follow the rules of the Constitution and ratify this Convention of Agenda 21 called LOST. Land of the Sea Treaty and unless our Senators, like Bill Nelson, stand up and defy such an action, we really are LOST as our country will no longer be the land of the free but the promise land of the UN! The cost of this Treaty is close to 900 plus Billion Dollars until it runs out and we are no more. The only Candidate running for President who has said He will make it his first order of business to nullify this treaty and with drawl from the UN is NEWT! All the rest, refused to answer the question put forth last month on CNN. I tweeted the question, it was read and Newt said Agenda 21 has no place in America. Nobody else wished to confer. Who do you think I am pushing for? Shouldn't you? A Free America of the People, by the People, and for the People!

“And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering...
“And the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.”

Internet TAKEOVER BILL- Sanitize the web forever!

Dear Fellow Patriot, Urgent! Liberal U. S. Senator Harry Reid has scheduled a snap final vote on the Senate version of the internet takeover bill. This measure will give Eric Holder and Barack Hussein Obama the power to "police” the internet, "sanitize” web searches, and shut down anti-Obama websites. I am told that Senator Reid believes that he has the votes to quickly ram this measure through the U. S. Senate, while the American people aren't paying attention. I need you to act quickly to stop Barack Obama and his Congressional allies, and save free speech on the internet. Please send faxes to Republican Members of the U.S. Senate, and demand that they filibuster Senate Bill (S.) 968, the Senate version of the internet takeover bill. Mr. Obama's allies on Capitol Hill have changed the Senate calendar in order to pass this bill immediately after they return from the Christmas holidays. The only way to stop them, or at least slow them down, is through a filibuster. This is really urgent. You must fax Members of the U. S. Senate NOW. This bill will make corrupt U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder a type of "Internet Czar.” Any website or forum that is merely accused of being linked to "online piracy” could be blacklisted and shut down. Mr. Holder will even have the power to "sanitize” the results of internet searches on Google, so that only government-approved websites and information can be found online. If this bill passes, Barack Hussein Obama's Administration will have the authority to ban the campaign websites of conservative candidates, anti-Obama groups, tea party blogs, and any other website that it doesn't like. They won't need a court order. There will be no hearings and there will be no trials. This bill, like its counterpart PIPA, in the House of Representatives, that I warned you about yesterday, is disguised as a measure to stop online piracy. However, there are already plenty of laws on the books to protect copyrighted material on the internet. This is an internet takeover bill, pure and simple. Just one "complaint” from a liberal activist, or a government agent, that you are indirectly violating an obscure copyright rule, and your website could be fined huge sums, and it could be blacklisted from the internet. This is a power that is ripe for government abuse. And Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., desperately wants it, in order to be able to silence his critics! Just imagine if you went online and typed "Where was Barack Obama born?” or "How big is the budget deficit?” into your favorite search engine, and the only results that you were able to see were Obama-approved propaganda websites. Well, that is exactly what will ultimately happen if S.968 passes and is signed into law. Many of this bill's provisions are modeled on China's "Great Firewall of China,” a law that lets the communist Chinese government block "undesirable websites.” Barack Hussein Obama has previously said that he admires the Chinese government's ability to rule without having to tolerate dissent. Now he is taking action to give himself that same power! The courts in left-wing socialist Europe even say that this type of power to "police the internet” goes too far, and they have blocked similar legislation. But, here in Mr. Obama's America, it is full steam-ahead for this government takeover of the world wide web. I am not joking. This threat to free speech is very, very real. S.968 already has 40 co-sponsors in the U.S. Senate. Eleven more votes and it passes! Harry Reid says that he will hold the vote the second that he gets back into town, and he will ram it into law! Our only chance – our ONLY prayer – to stop or slow down this bill in the Senate is through a last-ditch, desperate, filibuster. Please fax every Republican senator NOW. Liberal Senators like Patrick Leahy, Chuck Schumer, and Al Franken are pushing hard for this bill. And they are getting help from Republicans like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Orin Hatch, and even Marco Rubio! The left-wing mainstream media companies are campaigning all out for this bill, too. They want the government to shut down all the blogs, political forums, and independent news sites, so that they, once again, have a monopoly on the news that you and I are allowed to see. This threat against free speech is so grave, and so imminent, that websites like Google and Yahoo are seriously considering staging a last-ditch, online, protest to try to stop Mr. Obama! So, you should too - to protect your privacy! Please, fax every Republican Senator now. This vote will happen first thing when the Senate comes back from its Christmas break. Our only hope is a Senate filibuster. Send Faxes Now Image If this bill passes, anti-Obama organizations and movements all across the nation will be crippled. Just one frivolous complaint from a left-wing activist, and Unphynated America's and Black Sphere's websites could be shut down by Eric Holder and his U. S. Justice Department goons. Please send your faxes NOW. DO NOT WAIT. This vote will happen as soon as the U. S. Senate gets back from Christmas vacation. There is no time to waste. If you want to preserve your right to access your favorite websites, and your right to oppose Barack Hussein Obama, you must fax the U. S. Senate TODAY. And, while you are at it, please add to the effectiveness of your faxes by personally calling your U.S. Senator's office at 202-224-3121. Please tell him, or her, to STOP S. 968, the internet takeover bill. However, whatever you do, YOU MUST DO IT NOW! Sincerely, Kevin Jackson, Founder, Unhyphenated America Signature Image Unhyphenated America By: Kevin Jackson, Founder A Division of: The Black Sphere, LLC

Zero Default; Zero Tolerance

ZERO TOLERANCE? "Sir? Can I wipe my butt?" and by not being a Boy Scout you now can be discharged from service for almost anything. When will the Politicians do their job and leave service related items to the service, as they know better than anyone!
As the Economy plummeted, the Military tightened its recruitment standards and Congress lowered the enlistment incentives. Re-enlistment bonuses shrank, and Congress decided against more than the legally required pay raises. Senator Webb, a Veteran himself, and normally on the Pro-Troop side of his party put it this way: with the Economy in bad shape, we don't need to pay the Troops more to recruit the numbers we need. He was right of course. The recruiters have been turning away qualified applicants for some time. Only the National Guard is missing its decreased recruiting goals. People are signing up for a job, instead of for the Mission.

U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty and the Costs of U.S. Membership

U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty and the Costs of U.S. Membership Implementation of Title IV of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery
Conservation and Management Re-authorization Act of 2006
Progress Report to the NOAA Assistant Administrator
For Fisheries
January 2008 Guess What? Title IV is also known as: The United Nations Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Magnuson-Stevens takes on a whole new meaning now! Compare Magnuson-Stevens to LOS; http://www.un.org/depts/los/convention_agreements/texts/fish_stocks_agreement/CONF164_37.htm We are now implementing this cost as President Obama ratified LOST without consent of the US Senate; making this treaty unconstitutional! Why is the Senate ignoring such? Have they been bought off? To many questions and no answers makes somebody a traitor in my book! ............................................................................................................................................................ Abstract: If the U.S. becomes a member of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, it will be required to transfer a large portion of the royalties generated on the U.S. extended continental shelf to the International Seabed Authority.
