Mom-o-gram

I had a good friend of mine say that Eastern Philosophy is much easier to understand if you have a bit of western wealth laying around. At first it was a cute statement, but the guy who said it to me is far from cute. He is a powerfully smart guy. Someone who has had a lot of positive vibes flowing around him for many years.

And seriously progressive. I think.

I am proud to be a member of the tea party. I go to meetings, I have one of those yellow flags hanging in my window of my office for all to see as they walk by in my clearly liberal neighborhood, and I have a Ron Paul bumper sticker. But something I me understands my progressive friends. I know what it feels like to protect the environment, to care deeply for wolves, and to worry about the sick and disabled.

They are just nuts if they think that socialist utopia is going to appear without some serious change in one's pocket. I get it, Rodney, I really get it. It is a hell of a lot easier to be eastern if you start out free and western.
